Adriana Loya is a Mexican-American seven-time Emmy® Awards-winning journalist and visual storyteller, who shot, edited, produced, wrote, and presented her own stories in Kansas, Boston, and Phoenix.
Most recently, as a Bilingual Multi-Skilled Journalist at 12 News (NBC), she thoughtfully reported on the lack of laws protecting children with disabilities in the school system. Coverage of this story earned her a Regional Emmy Award. Also, in Arizona, she revealed how the criminal justice system failed to prosecute and penalize a fraudster car salesman who targeted Latino families and scammed them out of thousands of dollars and remains free. In Boston, Loya uncovered safety failures that led to a dangerous incident on a vertical-lift bridge that led to a state investigation and suspension of the operational staff. In all these stories, she compassionately wrote compelling stories about real people affected by sensitive systemic issues in a way that made millions of others care. Loya’s natural curiosity has driven her along the way.
